Horse Sense
They say “horse sense is what a horse has that keeps it from betting on people” but you know what? Horses bet on us every day. They trust us, perform for us, work for us… They see the good and the holy in us long after we’ve lost sight of it ourselves. You can’t lie to a horse either – they know when our thoughts and words or actions are congruent and authentic, and when they’re not. In so many ways, they can help us back into our bodies and the present moment, and guide us to the insights available outside our awareness.
My Coaching Partner Has Four Legs
As a Certified Practitioner in the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method® I will partner with you and a horse (or horses) to provide a unique, co-active coaching experience that is powerful, profound and transformational.
In this process the horse is an autonomous coach, engaging however they feel appropriate to help the client reach awareness and make shifts in their energy, belief systems and actions.
From goal setting and envisioning to addressing deep, emotionally-rooted “unfinished business” in order to clear a path forward into an empowered future, this is a coaching method that is deeply impactful.
It is as applicable to corporate clients (teams, leaders) as it is to individuals looking for a more personal solution, and coaching can occur either individually or in group settings (as in a workshop or a private team event).
I work in tandem with the horse, asking questions and making observations that facilitate the coaching experience while a handler ensures that everyone stays safe.
You, the client, do the real work though – digging deep and making connections and shifts that will really drive change you can sustain and build on!
